RESPONSIBILITIES:
· To provide a courteous, professional, efficient and flexible service at all times.
· To have a full working knowledge and ability to perform all duties and tasks listed in his/her job description. Please note that Job description can be reviewed and changed on a regular basis reflecting change in trends, guest expectations and operating philosophies.
· To maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures and standards.
· To ensure that standards are maintained at a superior level on a daily basis.
· To respond to guest inquiries on pool activities and timing, as well as on Spa & Resort, Spa Menu, Fitness Programs and other information regarding the facility and services of the Spa.
· To inspect pool area at the start, during and at the end of shift to ensure that the set-up of the department is in accordance with established standard.
· To ensure all pool chairs are being set up as per standards.
· To monitor and maintains cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas.
· To check and replenishes amenities of the spa area at the start, end and if necessary during her/his shift.
· To perform opening and closing procedures according to the shift.
· To check the condition of pool facility and equipments and reports any damage immediately to the supervisor.
· To execute the standard of the Spa in the set-up of amenities and decor. To distribute to the different areas their linen, towel and amenities needed in their perspective services.
· To escort arriving guests to requested area (Fitness, Pool or Changing Area)
· Additional duties at the Fitness Area: To assist guests in the Fitness Area with Fitness related issues
· To anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day. Maintain positive guest relations at all times.
· To respect the privacy of the guest at all times
· To attend briefings, as required.
· To maintain good relationships with colleagues and contributes to team spirit. Cooperates and coordinates with colleagues whenever necessary.
· To interact with other departments to provide additional or specialized guest services.
· To establish a rapport with guests, providing guest recognition and good customer relationships.
· To help update with supervisor the guest history in the system accordingly to information collected
· To help monitoring the stock inventory and to follow up on pending issues with support of logging system
· To understand and strictly adhere to the Rules & Regulations established in the Employees Handbook and the Hotel’s policy on Fire, Hygiene, Health and Safety.
· To report for duty punctually wearing the correct uniform and name tag at all times.
· To maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times.
· To maintain high standards of the hotel when fulfilling his/her duties
· To maintain a calm, courteous and gracious attitude at all time
· To maintain a good rapport and working relationship with staff in all other departments.
· To be very familiar with the Room division/Spa policies and procedures
· To attend and contribute to all staff meetings, Departmental and Hotel training as scheduled and other related activities.
· To undertake any reasonable tasks and secondary duties as assigned by the Spa supervisor.
· To project at all times a positive and motivated attitude and exercise self control.
· To maintain good relationships with colleagues and contributes to team spirit. Cooperates and coordinates with colleagues whenever necessary.
· To interact with other departments to provide additional or specialized guest services
· To carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Experience: Minimum 2 years’ experience as a pool attendant at a 5 star hotel.
· Education: Secondary school
· General Skills: Must be able to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy; prioritize, organize and follow-up; be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment; follow directions thoroughly; understand a guest’s service needs; work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team; work with minimal supervision; maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data.
· Technical Skills: perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy, understand guest’s need and anticipate excellent oral communication skills.
· Language: Required to speak, read and write English, with fluency in other languages preferred.
· Physical Requirements: Must be able to exert physical effort in transporting _____ pounds, endure various physical movements throughout the work areas, reach up and down, remain stationary at times throughout work periods, and satisfactorily communicate with guests and co-workers to their understanding.
