Requirements:
Reporting to the COO, you will lead and communicate with a highly skilled, multi-sited workforce through a Manager and a structure of local Senior Pilot Mangers. You will be the nominated post holder for flight operations and will influence and challenge the strategic direction and continued growth of Flybe
The key role outputs include:
•Manage the flight operation in accordance with the requirements of the Airline network and the Company’s safety standards within the constraints of all applicable National, European or International legislation in force at the time
•Direct, coordinate, control and maximise the activity of the Flight Operations Department through a suitable management structure with delegated responsibility.
•To ensure efficient delivery of the daily operation in provision of pilots
•Be accountable to the Chief Operations Officer for the cost effective deployment of flight crew to meet the Company’s commercial and training requirements.
Abilities:
•Significant proven experience in Flight Operations management of which at least 5 years being at a senior managerial level/deputy or post holder
•In depth experience and knowledge of regulatory rules affecting Crew including Flight Time Limitations (FTL) and Fatigue Risk Management System (FRMS).
•Demonstrable experienced and professionally equipped with Flight Operations processes, methodologies and optimisation systems
•Strong and well developed management and leadership skills with the ability to work collaboratively across the organisation
•Proven influential and consultative approach, solution focus, and strong negotiation skills
•Demonstrable experienced and professionally equipped with Flight Operations processes, methodologies and optimisation systems
•Proven line management experience including, recruiting, selecting, coaching and developing employees.
