Crewing Officer

Reporting to the Crewing Duty Manager, key responsibilities of this role are:

· Ensure all flights have the sufficient crew complement in response to changes in crew availability and daily operational schedule variations

· Ensure all rosters and allocated duties / changes comply with rostering limitations and all applicable CASA legislation

· Monitor the day to day Operations and ensure all Crew Movements are maintained in accordance with CASA and Company requirements to optimise the Daily Operational Integrity

· Liaise with the Flight Training Coordinator to ensure all in-flight crew training requirements are achieved and action / amend within and outside normal working hours

· Liaise with the Ground Training Coordinator to ensure all ground training requirements are achieved.

· Ensure all crew are notified of any changes to their published roster in a timely manner

· Manage accommodation and transportation for crew movements

· Ensure all reports and support functions are actioned as per company and departmental policy

· Ensure all Government and Airport Departments (i.e. Immigration, Customs and Handling Agents) nationally and internationally are kept up to date with all relevant documentation …GENDECS etc.

· Ensure all crew that are travelling as a passenger are booked and ticketed on their respective flights.

· Maintain a working relationship with Crew Planning Department and all Regional Base Managers

· Maintain Crew Schedule Integrity

To be considered for this role you will:

· Extensive management experience and knowledge of airline operations, aviation legislation and industrial awards for both Technical and Cabin Crew.

· Experience working in a busy team based, operationally focussed environment.

· Ability to work in an operational environment subjected to pressures of time and cost factors

· Demonstrate a level of proficiency in MS Office and excel packages

· Working knowledge of the Sabre Rocade system preferred but not essential

· Have the ability to work on a 24 hour rotating shift roster

· Customer focussed – able to manage people – interpersonal skills

· Outcome focussed

· Innovative with the ability to manage change within the Company's growth

· Ability to use own initiative and experience to achieve and maintain maximum efficiency and productivity.

· Excellent time management skills and verbal and written communication skills.
