Reporting to the Head of Group Operations you will be accountable for:
- Development of business case scenarios to present to Senior Management for assessment;
- Management of projects to implementation within specified budget and timeframes.
- Development and update of project plans for approved projects and status reports on progress and budget compliance.
- Ensure compliance with all safe working procedures and policy requirements;
- Responsible for leading cross-functional work forums and supporting business owners with identification of improvement opportunities.
- Liaison with airport authorities and operators, as well as government regulators and external suppliers as required.
- Contribute to the continual enhancement of the Jetstar Group businesses on operational goals, objectives and KPI's including short term and long term business planning.
- Liaison with departments within the Qantas and Jetstar Group e.g. Jetstar franchise businesses acting as a champion of the Jetstar business model.
- Responsible for implementing and strengthening the low-cost Jetstar culture within the airline operations teams.
To be considered for this role you will have:
- Experience in managing a large team to achieve strong cost and efficiency improvements;
- Proven experience with contract negotiations and large-scale procurement activity;
- Be flexible and adaptable to respond to the changes in a fast growing business whilst remaining focused on the overall objective;
- Demonstrated quantitative and analytical skills
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant business discipline;
- Advanced knowledge of airline technical operations and regulatory environment;
- High-energy person with strong team approach and influencing skills.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal and able to communicate to all levels of the organisation;
- Computer savvy - confident with financial modelling, data analysis and powerpoint;
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure.
