DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Greet guests on arrival and welcome them.
Ensure that all guests on arrival feel expected and welcomed by creating a sense of recognition and high sense of comfort.
Ensure that the guest receives the accommodation and other services he/she is expecting and as per their preferences.
Maintain an up to date knowledge of hotel, local services and supply information respond to guest queries.
Deal swiftly, efficiently and sensitively to guest complaints and report the same to your supervisor on shift.
Maintain awareness of guest profile through the Opera guest history and ensure that all guest details such as” address, email, telephone number, designation” are updated correctly.
No check in should be done without advance deposit to avoid any skippers.
No guest will wait longer than 2 minutes on line at the reception desk.
Ensuring accurate posting in Opera System of food & beverage and other charges.
Receive payments by all payment methods approved by accounts, adhering to the company Credit Policy at all times.
Provide Currency Exchange service to all in-house guests.
Ensure that all bills are closed and tally sheet for your shift is completed and signed by your shift supervisor according to the hotel standards.
To regularly ensure that the reception is organized and operating in an efficient standard and checklists are completed and forwarded to Shift Leaders/Duty Managers.
Maintain awareness of sales opportunities maximizing revenue and meeting or exceeding guest expectations.
According to the occupancy level, you should up sell to higher categories in order to maximize rooms’ revenue.
All associates should attend their daily briefing and they have to be aware of all VIPs in-house as well as VIP arrivals and all day functions.
Maintain an awareness of the day type rate for different categories.
