Manager - Reliability

Purpose:

 

Manage the Reliability Department ensuring Fleet Reliability Performance, including data gathering, data analyzing (including MSG analysis) and reporting.

 

 

Job Description:

· Manage the Reliability Monitoring Program including the monthly reporting as per the Maintenance Control Manual.

· Provide leadership, development, training, coaching, and performance standards for the Reliability team.

· Maintain a current knowledge of daily operational needs/issues and direct the team towards actions that lead to improvements.

· Develop and maintain department databases, analyze data, identify findings and adverse trends, determine root cause of system/component failure and initiate corrective action.

· Lead analysis and provide data for justification of maintenance program revisions and modification programs.

· Identify and submit Service Difficulty Reports (SDR) to Transport Canada.

· Manage the Part Number Master in the CMTS coordinating all entries with Stores, Purchasing, Finance, Maintenance Programs etc.

· Complete all duties with the highest level of safety and report any condition or process which may adversely affect safety.

 

Qualifications:

· Minimum 5 years experience in maintenance of transport category aircraft in any of the following areas; Line maintenance, Heavy maintenance, Structures, Avionics etc.

· Minimum 2 years management experience required.

· Knowledge of reliability analysis and Maintenance Steering Group (MSG) II or III programs.

· Transport Canada recognized Aircraft Maintenance Engineering license or equivalent experience.

· Adequate knowledge of policies and procedures established by company, Transport Canada and Boeing as contained in the approved Maintenance Manuals is an asset.

· Intermediate computer skills required. Experience with Microsoft office suite of products is an asset.

· Demonstrated ability to use an innovative approach in the development of Aircraft Maintenance policies, procedures and programs.

· Must be a continuous learner with excellent communication and organizational skills.
