Purpose: Reporting to the Manager - DevOps Integration, the Developer III in WestJet’s Integration Services Team is a senior level position responsible for designing, developing and maintaining solutions to integrate enterprise applications. This includes working with webservices, REST services, databases and cloud applications. The ideal candidate will have working experience in the area of integration platforms such as IBM Web Sphere, MessageBroker, Datapower and MQ as well as experience in troubleshooting a variety of technical issues.

 Responsibilities:

• Designs and develops robust and high-quality services on ESB technologies that meet business requirements Provides technical direction to development staff and external contractors involved with ESB development projects
• Translate business requirements into architecturally sound solutions with consideration for re-use and standardization Act as liaison to business and IT partners and external vendors and service providers.
• Design and write robust, extensible, high-quality, compliant code that meets business, technical and quality requirements.
• Deploy and troubleshoot service mediation flows using Multi Protocol Gateways, Web Service Proxies and XML firewalls
• Deploy and troubleshoot Web 2.0 services including but not inclusive: SOAP Web Services, Restful Web Services, JSON/JSONx,.
• Manage Message Broker (MQ File Transfer Edition) including handling Queues and Execution Groups
• Manage the technical delivery of integration projects. Establish optimized SDLC standards and processes calibrated to an enterprise service bus environment.
• Mentor team members and promote best practices, methodologies, standards and behaviors.
• Establish and provide system functional and reference documentation standards
• Provides 3rd level production technical support for integration solutions and services.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years’ experience
• 10 or more years of experience in all phases of software development, with a minimum 3 years designing and implementing enterprise integration solutions
• Strong understanding of Governance, Development and Implementation issues surrounding SOA in large organizations.
• Extensive knowledge and applied experience with Web Services (WSDL, SOAP, and WS-I Standards).
• Extensive knowledge and applied experience with XLST.
• Extensive knowledge and applied experience WS-Security (x.509 Certs/Digital Signatures/Encryption/SAML1/2
• Extensive knowledge and applied experience Enterprise Messaging Systems (WebSphere MQ, MQMB)
• Knowledge and applied experience with JDBC/ODBC and relational databases such as SQL Server and Oracle in an enterprise environment
• Knowledge and applied experience working within a structured SDLC process
• Proven analytical and trouble shooting skills
• Demonstrated oral and written communication skills
• Comfortable with working in a rapidly changing, technically complex environment
• Biased toward collaboration , team player with strong interpersonal skills
• Knowledge and applied experience with the ITIL framework
