About Your Job:

A new position has become available for an experienced manager within the Brand and Product fields. This role will be a key component for the Airways Head Office Marketing team, to be based in Doha.

About Your Job :

The Manager Brand and Product Marketing is responsible for managing and directing the brand and product marketing objectives of the Airways. This role is responsible for developing integrated corporate brand and product marketing programs for the Airways across the trade and consumer channels. This role also provides marketing and brand support for internal departments within the Airways group.

A key area of responsibility is the management of external creative agencies and is the key liaise point between internal stakeholders and external creative agencies.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Strategic:

Develop the airline’s brand marketing strategy to determine key messaging and areas of differentiation for the Airways to build brand equity and brand value. Develop strategic relationships with creative agencies to ensure excellence and innovation in the creative delivery of our marketing programs and campaigns. Continue to position Qatar Airways as a premium, world leading international airline whilst maintaining the integrity of the company and heritage.

Operational:

Develop integrated HO brand campaigns ensuring consistency of messaging and imagery in all key communication channels, Ensure brand campaigns are launched on time within approved budget. Effective deployment of corporate brand materials to our media partners and regional marketing teams, Develop corporate marketing and brand assets for utilisation across the business, Develop marketing and brand campaigns for internal stakeholders ensuring campaign and asset deliverables are provided on time and within budget, constantly look for improvement on the marketing deployment processes to improve effectiveness, marketing spend efficiency and speed to market.

Management:

Establish the team’s objectives and priorities to align with and support business objectives. Regularly evaluate the department or teams objectives, plans, procedures and practices and make appropriate changes if needed. Oversee supervise employees, Direct daily activities, recruit, train develop and discipline to ensure a high standard of service delivery. Ensure effective communication and stakeholder management, Key internal stakeholders include: Product Development, Events/Exhibitions, Sponsorship, Nationalisation, Human Resources, Corporate Planning, Ground Services, Safety & Security, HIA and Cargo. Sharing of best practice and marketing case studies within the marketing team.

Leadership:

Train and develop employees, for proper succession planning and risk management, provide strong direction to the team and encourage seeking new marketing opportunities and continuous learning, Defines standards and mobilises resources within team to respond swiftly to market opportunities. Engages with the brand marketing team and creative services team to achieve effective outcome and results, Communicate at a senior management level as well as with peers across the organisation to build strong collaborative relationships across all stakeholders. Train staff in the duties above; perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of Department.

Budgeting:

Participate in the annual budgeting process by ensuring marketing plans and CMC’s are submitted on a timely basis within project timelines. Directly manage budgets for new brand marketing projects, creative development processes and tools and large strategic projects, Provide recommendations on the management of internal stakeholder budgets.

About You:

The successful candidate will have at least a Bachelors degree, preferably in a related field such as Marketing, Business Studies or Communications. Having a Masters degree will be advantageous to your application.

You will have a minimum of 7 years job related experience in marketing, brand or product, ideally both. It is preferred that you have marketing experience in the airline, travel or hospitality industry with experience working in a client service role within a creative agency.

It is essential that you are able to work under pressure in a highly charged working environment, perform to tight deadlines and work on multiple projects effectively. You will be working in a multi-cultural and fast paced environment.

Having excellent command of both oral and written English is essential, whilst being proficient in Arabic language (verbal and written) is advantageous but not essential.
