Requirements:

• Strong IT experience within a corporate environment
• Experience of working on data management and analytics solutions, specifically with large volume, high velocity data intake and unstructured data
• Have completed at least 1 full lifecycle project involving Hadoop and related technologies (MapReduce, Spark, Hive, Pig, Flume, Oozie, etc.) within an enterprise production sized environment, not just prototype or proof of concept
• At least 1 year of hands-on experience installing tools and developing solutions using Hadoop and related technologies
• Experience installing, configuring and tuning Hadoop environments
• Experience developing applications/programs using the Hadoop MapReduce framework
• Strong Java, Python or Scala development skills
• Excellent written and verbal communications
• Ideally educated to Degree level or equivalent, we are open to strong candidates from all relevant educational backgrounds
• Expert knowledge and understanding of digital trends in big data and challenges across industries
• Expertise in manipulating data and forming complex data structures
• Demonstrable track record of shaping and leading successful business insights and analytics projects.
