The Role


As the Marketing Manager – company in New Zealand you will be responsible for setting the strategic direction for the brand and marketing activity for New Zealand (NZ) & Pacific Islands (PI)region including leading and managing all activities relating to, marketing,public relations, promotion, sponsorships and advertising - ensuring the best possible brand exposure and business performance for company. You will work with a diverse portfolio of industry and business professionals and no two days will be the same. You will also closely interface with our company Group Brand and Marketing department based in Sydney,Australia.
 
You will be responsible for:

  • Developing a strategic plan for achieving regional revenue and channel optimisation targets;
  • Develop and lead the implementation of advertising campaigns, managing sponsorships, events and promotions;
  • Manage and further develop and leverage the relationship with various tourism bodies and other key partners, maximising partnership opportunities;
  • Working with broader company Group Marketing and Digital Team to deliver regional functionality.
  • Manage all marketing budgets in line with Regional expenditure guidelines.

 
To be successful in this role you will display:  

  • Tertiary education in Marketing or related discipline or relevant industry experience
  • Proven strategic marketing ability including brand management and the measurement of campaign results
  • Experience in digital marketing
  • Business acumen and the ability to perform quantitative analysis such as opportunity sizing and competitor response scenarios
  • Results orientation and strong time management skills
  • Collaborative approach with a track record of supporting a range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Proven ability to drive team engagement
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills plus an understanding of desktop publishing and website design
  • Commercially astute and sound business judgement.
  • Ability to work to deadlines, manage multiple projects and timelines.
  • High level of creativity and ability to think strategically.
