About Your Job:
Identify areas of QDF that are susceptible to business risk and loss, implement Loss Prevention best practices, SOP’s and techniques to help maximise company profitability. Implementation of Fraud Management rules and queries and thorough analysis of trends and exceptions for the speedy detection and intervention of dishonesty.
Working in close liaison with the QDF HR team to collate information, gather evidence and conduct formal security investigations into all acts of dishonesty, negligence and breaches of procedure. Create and implement Loss Prevention training programmes for all levels of staff across all areas of QDF.
Accountabilities:
Operational
- Support in the development and implementation of Loss prevention strategy and plans for all areas of the Qatar Duty Free business
- Oversee the Fraud Management system, Implementing Rules and queries that alert the business to dishonesty activity
- Review suspicious EPOS activity through the use of data analytics, trends and exception reporting, conducting investigations into alleged dishonesty and escalation of operational non-compliance to the relevant department Manager
- Detect areas of business risk particularly those vulnerable to loss, implement Loss Prevention practices to maximise company profitability and minimise risk.
- Work with key stakeholders on Projects & the development of best practice relating to Loss Prevention
- Develop and introduce Loss prevention/security SOP’s and work instructions
- Professional evidence and information gathering into all acts of theft, negligence and breach of security procedures
- Liaison with QDF HR for investigations into all security related incidents
- Work with the wider QDF security team to introduce operational compliance audits to validate that SOP’s and best practice are adhered to, liaison with operations and security management for any non-compliance identified
- Promote a Loss Prevention culture through building sound and strong working partnerships with all departments of QDF including, retail, food and beverage and distribution amongst others
- As and when required support in the supervision of contracted guarding services ensuring the service provided is in line with QDF requirements.
Develop, maintain and deliver Loss Prevention & security training programmes applicable to all areas and individuals of the QDF business
Management
- Manage Security Officer and CCTV operators during security investigation and evidence gathering
- In Security Managers absence supervise and manage the security team and external guarding contracts
Leadership
- Drive Loss Prevention culture across QDF
- Lead the Security officer, Security supervisors and CCTV operators in detection and evidence gathering of security related issues and dishonesty
Development
- Take responsibility for own ongoing personal development and growth of expertise.
- Train and develop other employees, for proper succession planning and risk management.
- Assist in the response to any emergency or a major operational disruption affecting Qatar Airways or its subsidiaries, including support of the Qatar Airways Special Assistance Program.
- Train Qatari staff in the duties above.
