Bonuses awarded only under terms of United's policies.* * NO AGENCIES PLEASE *Overview* This position is responsible for developing, coordinating and implementing strategies for aggressive revenue and contribution growth with the cargo division's largest customers at the global, regional, and local levels. This will be accomplished through world-class account management including successful utilization of business development, collaborative sales planning and consultative selling skills. This individual will serve as the primary designated UA representative for assigned accounts, building global, regional and local relationships with accounts' corporate personnel and with United field sales personnel through direct customer engagement. This position requires travel to designated markets 50% of the time and may require attendance at meetings and functions during personal time (weekends, after hours, etc). *Responsibilities* Relationships/Revenue Generation * Identify and execute sales opportunities by developing and cultivating long-term business relationships on a global basis with all levels of personnel, up to and including senior-level management within the account portfolio. * Maintain an unmatched knowledge of the customer's cargo business by knowing their customers' corporate structure, vision, culture, and objectives inside and out. * Serve as the primary corporate single point of contact for the assigned accounts, effectively navigate the political and hierarchical structure within the assigned accounts, and establish the Strategic Partner Manager as the trusted advisor in matters related to United Cargo. * Build the internal relationships within the Cargo division and other United divisions required to formulate and execute sales initiatives that support the Strategic Account portion of the Cargo Division’s annual revenue and contribution goals within the expense budget. * Develop and negotiate Global Incentive Agreements that drive effective ROIs and continued revenue growth from their assigned accounts. * Modify and deliver high quality presentations that increase customer awareness and support Accountability * Achieve customer specific revenue, contribution, share and product goals through regular monitoring and analysis of performance for their assigned account base. * Communicate clearly the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders * Establish sales call plans that support revenue goals, analyzes data to identify and communicate opportunities that drive behavior, and implement corrective action when necessary. * Develop and negotiate contracts, pricing, product and service commitments as applicable. * Ensure business development by carefully reviewing internal account reports on a regular basis, establishing and revising objectives for the accounts, and executing compelling value-based rationale in driving revenue/contribution to United Cargo. * Utilize CRM salesforce.com to communicate account activities, competitive intelligence, and to support commercial campaigns. Planning/Strategy * Develop annual account sales plans that define detailed strategies and initiatives for each assigned account, presents and secure senior leadership support and communicate the plans to the division to enable United Cargo to meet/exceed goals and targets for freight revenue, contribution, volume and mix. * Work closely with regional account executives and managers to ensure corporate sales vision, strategies, plans and goals are uniformly developed and executed. * Uses the consultative sales process to develop and maintain relationships with identified decision makers at strategic accounts and works collaboratively to develop strategies to increase sales, margins and market share with assigned accounts. * Gather and maintain market intelligence on assigned accounts and use this information to refine strategies and maximize revenue, volume and yield * Ensure effective field sales coordination and engagement of the respective accounts through joint sales calls and regular communication of account strategy with account executives, regional sales managers and regional directors/VPs. *This position is offered on local terms and conditions.
