Job Description

 

You will be required to:

 

• Review business processes, identify improvements and map the processes
• Develop and maintain the Enterprise Architecture for the business
• Define and analyze business requirements
• Propose IT solutions that are aligned to the Enterprise Architecture and IT Application roadmap
• Develop deep domain knowledge on the Operations applications (running J2EE technology)
• Provide project and application support which will include defining/reviewing business requirements for new projects and enhancements, and taking responsibility of system integration, testing and resolution of incidents reported for the systems under your charge
• Develop project management skills and participate actively in planning, scheduling, and implementing projects assigned to you
• Manage enhancements in Operations applications
• Manage vendors to ensure they provide efficient development and maintenance support and smooth running of Operations applications
• Monitor and track the resolution of problems reported and enhancements to ensure vendors provide a satisfactory service level in accordance with the Service Level Agreement (SLA)
• Minimize the risk of outsourcing in application maintenance by overseeing the security and control issues for program loads and data patching
• Manage escalated issues raised by business users and provide advice / guidance to users
• Provide SME (Subject Matter Expert) advice on applications, when required
• Work with vendors to plan and execute security patching, software version control and maintain application road-map
• Conduct regular review of application portfolio and technical landscape to identify redundancy and operational inefficiency and to recommend and implement alternate solutions
• Track and identify feasible airline IT applications and technologies for potential adoption by business

 

 

Required Skills

 

You must have a degree in Information Technology and/or related fields. Experience in business analysis, business re-engineering, SDLC, and major IT projects would be an advantage. Knowledge of J2EE technology running on JBose/Weblogic platforms is required.  

 

You will also be required to project manage and communicate with various stakeholders.
