Responsibilities include:
- Represent the voice of the customer to ensure that insight is at the heart of decisions. This would champion the customer, challenge any plans and initiatives that are not customer-focused and propose solutions that profitably meet customer needs / wants.
- Managing best in class quality, research and insight methodologies by agreeing and prioritising a programme of research & analysis to meet business needs with key stakeholders.
- Identifying categories and market opportunities providing an understanding of sizing and dynamics from available sources.
- Creating and telling stories from all forms of customer & market research (and customer data & expertise from other BI areas) in order to ensure real insight is developed. Initiate processes and ways of working to bring such knowledge together and create a body of knowledge to provide context and support for decision-making with broad dissemination across the business with actionable implications/recommendations at all times.
- To develop, maintain and broaden internal and external network in order to keep up-to-date on best in class innovations, insight and delivery of experience and to translate evolving insight strategies and priorities.
Useful knowledge, skills and experience
- A good understanding of the media industry.
- An ability to understand and articulate the issues facing the media industry.
- Must be articulate in written and oral skills and have experience of presenting and confident of putting their point of view across.
- Generally curious with experienced problem solving and analysis skills.
- Good knowledge of primary research techniques
