Events Team Planner - Work in UK

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Ownership and management of the calendar and budget for the company's events
  • Create, implement and manage working processes from brief to evaluation
  • Create and manage SLA’s with internal stakeholders and external suppliers
  • Receive, log and allocate all event briefs, making sure they are answered properly
  • Clear understanding of stakeholder objectives
  • Create quarterly events plans in-line with stakeholders objectives for event managers
  • Create and present event evaluations with Events Managers
  • Create ways to monitoring the effectiveness of events working with BI
  • Profile all events that come out of the company against our customer segmentation
  • Create a promotional staff database for the events assistant to manage
  • Create, negotiate and manage a preferred supplier list
  • Identify new event opportunities which will increase sales and subscriptions
  • Appoint event agencies and suppliers to support the team, ensuring value for money is attained
  • Improve performance of the team through the analysis of existing business processes, identifying innovative alternatives and recommendations for more effective or efficient ways of working
  • Attend and represent the events at regular stakeholder meetings
  • Work with Event Managers to create campaign strategies
  • Identify and develop ways to generate revenue through events

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

  • Experience of working in an events team
  • Experience in working with or for an agency
  • A passion for our brands and an understanding of how events can bring brand values to life
  • Ability to juggle many relationships internally and externally
  • Experience of managing senior stakeholders
  • Ability to manage budgets
  • Ability to innovate and push boundaries to improve results
  • Strategic approach to answering briefs
  • Able to use initiative and make decisions on the spot
  • Able to manager projects alone or work as part of a big team
  • Ability to multi task and work across many different projects at the same time.
  • Be a great organiser with an eye for detail
  • Excellent communications and reporting skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Enjoys a challenge and has a positive can do attitude
  • Flexibility - Travel, weekend and evening working required
