Key responsibilities will include:
- To design, develop and implement Sustainable Development strategy and respective policies across the organisation.
- Leadership of the Due Diligence according to Sustainable Development and reputational risk, incl. monitoring of receiving operating permissions from the relevant Environmental Management and other local Agencies
- Leadership of the fundraising strategy and its implementation incl. reporting on finances and activities according to nationally required standards throughout the various countries of operations
- Continue to develop the strong ties into the communities across the operating areas.
- Build relationships with relevant geographic and sector related NGO’s, government and other organisations.
- Work closely with the CEO as well as Managing Directors of each operation and the Global Senior Management.
Personal Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in:
o developing and implementing Sustainable Development strategy and policies for an organisation operating in similar geographies.
o international compliance within the food/agri value chain or relevant experience in auditing for DFIs
- Proven excellence in building relationships mit high impact stakeholders
- Proven leadershipsuccess in managing a Sustainability or CSR department in a dynamic global matrix environment
- High level of personal integrity and excellent political, environmental and social awareness.
- Business and financial acumen are a clear surplus, so is experience in fundraising
- A degree in Sustainability Management, International Relations, Social Science or similar
- Fluency in English is a must have
- Having worked in a developing country is a clear surplus
