Responsibilities
- Co-ordinate and manage activities of the other PSR schedulers in London, the regions and the Quality & Risk Operations in team in Cardiff, providing ad-hoc training and support.
- Liaise with people in engagement teams from Assistant Manager to Partner level to obtain an understanding of their client engagements, including the nature of services being provided, timing and key client deadlines. The Scheduling supervisor role will have a particular focus on FTSE 350 and other large/ complex audit and advisory engagements.
- Identify the relevant industry and technical skills required to do the PSR review and allocate an appropriate member of the team. This may require persuasion where the review does not initially appear to be a 'perfect fit' from an experience or availability perspective
- Liaise and consult with other members of the PSR management team and engagement managers and partners to help deliver creative solutions to resourcing problems
- Liaise with Learning and the PSR management team to organise PSR related training courses and webcasts
- Liaise with the Quality & Risk Operations team in Cardiff to prepare and review management information regarding reviewer utilisation and forecast availability
- Build strong relationships with PSR reviewers and be aware of their career aspirations and development needs and pro-actively work with them and the PSR management team to help achieve these
- The Scheduler will maintain and update availability schedules
In addition to the primary scheduling role there will be an opportunity to get involved in ad-hoc projects and to contribute to the overall organisation of the team.

The environment in which the audit practice, and PSR specifically, operates is subject to constant change and therefore there are likely to be opportunities to expand and develop the role for the right person.
To qualify for the role you would ideally have:
- Previous work experience in a professional services organisation-preferably in audit (this is essential for a Team Leader Role)
- Good business acumen and the ability to gain an in-depth knowledge of the industries the audit practice operates in and different nature of services provided
- Basic understanding of typical audit timetables for PLCs
- Experience of staffing/ scheduling/ resource management roles
- Ability to build strong relationships and liaise with people at all levels in the firm in a professional manner
- Good attention to detail and focus on quality
- Ability to multi-task and work in a deadline driven environment
- Excellent organisation and administrative skills
- Ability to lead and supervise a team
- Strong IT skills. Additional training will be provided for specific in-house IT systems
