TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As the expert (m/f) in the specific field of Compensation this position provides consultancy and guidance to the company on a global level (corporate and countries). This position is to support the global business needs and ensure the competitiveness of our systems by designing and establishing state-of-the-art policies and procedures for the company. It also ensures that adequate and efficient processes and IT-tools are available. This position holds the global process and policy ownership for “Merit Increase, Short Term Incentive (STI), Long Term Incentives (LTI), Change of Salary Grade”, Sales Compensation (Sales Incentives) and general owbership for the processes “Retention, Benchmarking & Surveys and Awards”. This comprises the preparation of make-or-buydecisions and the steering of external vendors. The position holder (m/f) finally approves the filling of country expert positions to ensure an adequate level of qualification and compentency for this roles. This also includes to:
• Develop and roll-out strategies, policies and standards as well as constantly track trends and business needs
• Constantly track feedback out of the business regarding the own process and drive process optimization efforts
• Drive decisions on the selection and management of external vendors
• Enhance efficiency and reduce complexity as well as define process related KPIs
• Analyze strategic factors affecting those needs as well as design and maintain rules and allocation criteria for Compensation programs
• Develop and maintain programs and procedures for Compensation in response to business needs, including benchmarking
• Conduct the annual Merit Increase process as well as the annual Short-Term-Incentive and Long-Term-Incentive payout processes robustly
REQUIREMENTS
• University degree in business administration or an equivalent qualification
• Several years of professional work experience, especially in a managerial position
• Demonstrated knowledge in the area of Compensation
• Broad Experience in working with senior executives and external professionals/ consultants
• Know-how in designing compensation strategies and policies
• Extensive knowledge of market situations and upcoming trends
• General knowledge of finance and accounting principles
• Strong ability to solve problems and/or to prepare concepts and policies by taking into account the relevant strategic and operational aspects
• Ability to work successfully in international teams and with multiple senior managers across sub-groups and countries
• Ability to effectively challenge the status quo
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written
