Financial Controller

Key areas of responsibility include:

  • Monthly P & L Accounts for six companies to trial balance
  • Monthly forecasting of sales & costs
  • Processing the fortnightly and salaried staff payroll
  • VAT return completion to meet statutory timescales
  • Job costings completed for all Events and Restaurant profitability
  • GP analysis Food and Liquor
  • Debtor and Creditor control
  • Accruals and prepayment reconciliation
  • Ensuring all statutory company financial obligations are met
  • Banking supervision and reconciliation

So what do we want of you?

AAT or an equivalent qualification, with responsibility for the financial control of a food and beverage operation in, for example, the Hospitality, Restaurant or Hotel industry. You are a good planner, problem solver and prioritiser; you are firm when you need to be but able to relax and have fun with the team on social occasions.

Your technical knowledge must include:

  • Sage 50 Accounts and Payroll
  • MS Office suite
  • Experience in administering Company Pension Fund
