Job description

The Accountant is responsible for the verification and recording of transactional items, month end closing activities, reporting and analysis for the accounting process the accountant is assigned. The candidate should develop deeper process and system understanding. The professional required for this position in General Accounting department will be responsible for performing the monthly and quarterly accounting closing activities and others accounting task during the month. According to the Service Level Agreement defined with the customers in terms of quality and deadlines, the person selected will perform closing activities such as:

- General Ledger postings

- Asset accounting tasks

- Financial Reporting process

Furthermore the person will perform the monitoring and clearing of the balance sheet accounts following up the issues detected and suggesting improvements when possible. Also it will be under her/his responsibility to carry out internal control activities.

Qualifications

- Degree in Accounting, Controlling, Finance, Economics or similar

- Professional experience in Accounting or Controlling functions with solid SAP FI/CO understanding

- Experienced in SAP BW environment (queries handling)

- Excellent English communication skills (written/spoken)

- Highly customer oriented

- Demonstrated teamwork spirit

- Result oriented ability to work under pressure and capacity to prioritize properly the workload

- Analytical skills, proactive, with initiative and persistence for follow up

- Ability to work in a multicultural environment

-Evening shift during closing period can be required (6 days per month)
