Job description
To coordinate Budgeting, Forecasting and Reporting processes for the IT function for the company providing Controlling and IT management with financial information necessary for monitoring of the IT expenditure.
Key responsibilities:
Actively manage communication between IT, Controlling and all areas of the Country Platform support function.
Updates reporting, budgeting and forecasting procedures.
Continue analyses all current reporting systems for IT spend with the aim of continuous improvement of reporting.
Maintains monthly a high level report overview of spend for UK & Ireland IT spend vs. FCR Budget and Forecast for UK & Ireland.
Maintains monthly a report to track IT projects spend for UK & Ireland in order to measure risks and opportunities vs. forecast and budget.
Support Head of IT to run IT steering committee – financial reporting on IT costs, project cost options and selection of projects to run (business case), increase transparency of global charging, device pricing strategy and ad hoc support as required. Meeting dates to align to budget run, so projects, changes in demand etc. are reflected in budget.
Lead discussions on business cases.
Support Head of IT on communications and budget discussions.
Ensures compliance with accounting procedures and interpretations.
Partner cost centre managers to manage their costs.
Attend and actively contribute to IT meetings and workshops.
Qualifications
The desired candidate will need to demonstrate:
• Professional Accounting Qualification (ACA, ACMA etc) or Experience
• Working knowledge of Bayer Group reporting requirements
• Knowledge of IT and Controlling tools and methods
• Competence to grasp an overview of complex subject matters and to deduce operational activities and communicate in simple terms. Able to see the big picture.
• Proven analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, problem solve and translate into
action-oriented recommendations and directions.
• Outstanding analytical, conceptual and implementation skills; initiative, persuasiveness
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Leadership and influencing skills and experience; ability to deal with senior client management in often complex situations.
• Good knowledge of ERP / BI system landscape.
• Good knowledge of IT working tools: Excel, Powerpoint, sharepoint.
