YOUR ROLE
The Senior Fleet Project Engineer has to lead, manage and control all the project engineering-related activities in the project to deliver on requirements, budget and schedule. He/she has to ensure that “lessons learned” and best practices are applied on Services Projects and transferred to new projects, acting as main Engineering Interface with the customer (Internal and External Customers).
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
To execute and/or to lead all project related aspects of Design, Implementation, Field Feedback required to deliver the scope of the engineering project so as to satisfy customer requirements while adhering to project budgets and schedules.
Establish and maintain interfaces with other Engineering departments & with relevant functions (Project Management, Procurement, Services Execution, Operations, Sales, Bids).
Ensuring that relevant skills are made available by the Engineering Function in order to fulfill project requirements.
Monitor, control and report monthly all product related financial aspects of the project consistent with the contract requirements and established project management procedures to attain established goals.
To act on behalf of the Head of Fleet Project Engineering Italy for specific topics or duties.
Qualifications
Engineering Degree;
Experience in the rail maintenance industry, alternatively other similar services industries (e.g. aerospace, naval);
Around 8 years of overall experience, of which 4 years in technical project leadership;
Strong knowledge of maintenance engineering: preventive and corrective fleet maintenance, management of spare parts and obsolescence, maintenance plans;
Familiar with planning of resources and work packages;
Microsoft Office suite, specifically Excel;
Knowledge of Gantt charts/ MS Project;
Very good Italian and English language skills, both written and spoken;
Availability to travel.
