Functional Responsibilities:
Support the Project / Bid Manager as a Technical referent for the project /Tender. Technical representative in front of the customer and for the consortium (if any). In charge of the development of the System Specifications, including the internal / external Interface specifications (Electromechanical, Civil Works, …) including: Propose Engineering Scope of Works. Develop System Acceptance Criteria and have them agreed upon by the Customer. Issuing Customer Requirements Specification Documentation. Issue Functional Specifications. Issue Systems Architecture. Issue Preliminary and Final Designs. Define and Coordinate Integration Phases, Testing activities, System Test Running, System Trial Running, Revenue Service and Warranty. Supervise transversal engineering activities (EMC, simulations, Earthing & Bonding, RAMS, etc.). Follow the state-of-art engineering method and tools used in the industry (e.g. V-cycle, compliance management, requirement management, configuration management, etc.). In relationship with the Project Test & Commissioning Manager, manages the integration and validation activities. Focal point for the resolution of all technical matters in relation with other Subsystems. Organizational Responsibilities: Monitor, Track and Measure all Operational Progress relevant to Systems Engineering domains. Responsible for gathering all Systems Engineering constraints and/or requirements. Provide the necessary technical support for the Management Review (e.g. Project Review, Gate Review, …) Management Responsibilities:Lead, develop and motivate the System Engineering Project / Tender Team. In charge of the follow-up of the budget, progress, planning, and allocating the necessary resources as needed. Anticipate issues or scenarios that can or will impede progress. Sets Measures in place as to avoid situations that could negatively impact the client’s projected completion goals and budgets. Follow Alstom´s Rules, Procedures and protect our interests with regards to the share of work with partners during the execution of projects. Further development of People and Practice.
Qualifications
Academic / Certified Training
Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering Degree. Versed in Project Management Methodologies (PMP, PMI, PMO, PRINCE2, Lean Six Sigma or similar).
Technical Competencies required for the role
Expert in Systems Engineering within Railway Industry including perspective of Transport Systems as a whole, focusing on overall performance and balancing capabilities. Masters V-Cycle Methodology including requirements engineering, reliability, logistics, coordination of different teams, testing and evaluation, maintainability, design, implementation, and ultimate decommission. 5 Years of experience in a similar role.
