Description of the job
You will join the M&P Operations France department and will take over the interfaces between Materials and Processes Engineering and AIT, mainly at the level of glued assemblies and their behaviour in space environment (UV radiation, cryogenics, heat cycling). By managing the interface between M&P and AIT, you will ensure that the Materials and Processes used in AIT conform to design work. On the M&P side, this involves management of the AIT technologies and procedures database, management of the AIT Material & Process Control Board and of the Declared Material List/Declared Process List, along with responding to major anomalies. This position involves frequent clean room and laboratory work, along with numerous contacts with external laboratories, agencies (ESA, CNES) and academic partners. This role will involve travel for business (twice per month + 1 week twice per year abroad) and therefore you must be able to travel accordingly.
Required skills
As the successful candidate you will be able to demonstrate the following skills:
Holder of an Engineering degree (or university equivalent), ideally in chemistry and/or materials science, Initial materials and processes experience in the space or related restrictive field (aeronautics, motor industry, etc.), Knowledge of glued assemblies, along with related analytical and laboratory means, Knowledge of analytical and test techniques, including laboratory means, Auxiliary knowledge (wiring, contamination and cleanliness, thermics) would be an advantage, Advanced level in English and French, fluency in a 3rd language would be an advantage.
