The Product Manager (PM) is a subject matter expert for the assigned industry/SBU, and is the key business development interface between the Regional Business Unit (RBU) and Strategic Business Unit (SBU) for the PM’s assigned industry/SBU.

The PM will identify and develop business opportunities, including growth engines, for the assigned industry/SBU by communicating value propositions to customers.

The PM will coordinate all necessary MOXA resources to achieve agreed upon industry/SBU targets by successfully executing the agreed upon business plan.

The PM will promote Moxa’s total solution, develop customer relationships, establish reference sites, clearly understand and deliver customer and market segment needs to the SBU, define the industry value chain, provide voice of the customer and market information for assessing competitors and opportunities, and set the local pricing strategy.

The PM will be able to master and stay updated on a large variety of product specifications and applications.

Responsibilities

•Achieve business development targets and goals for the assigned industry/SBU business by successfully executing the agreed upon business plan.

•Develop and align industry/SBU business plans and implement industry/SBU strategies in Regional Business Units (RBU). Co-work closely with the SBU and ensure that the SBU is up to date and in sync with the current state and strategy.

•Develop the right business model for target markets through understanding the markets, technology trends, emerging standards, customer needs, and the competition. Establish reference sites and success stories per market segment. Frequent direct customer meetings are required to deliver solid results.

•Provide comprehensive solutions to ensure rapid entry into target markets. Adapt and set product positioning and value propositions for industry/SBU products to meet local market needs, and implement local product pricing and promotion strategies. To stimulate business growth, proactively seek new industrial needs to add new selling points for the company’s solutions and/or services.

•Responsible for training sales and channel personnel on Moxa’s solutions for targeted vertical markets, including market knowledge and applications.

•Participate in industry events (trade shows, professional organizations) to gain good understanding of the market trend and customer requirements. Build customer contacts through these platforms.

•Identify, develop and manage relationship with Key Players in targeted Vertical Markets, including Engineering Company, Consultants, End Users, Technology partners and Standardization organizations. Create pull factors and identify customer opportunities through these opportunities. Clearly understand and deliver customer and market segment needs to the SBU, define the industry value chain, provide voice of the customer and market information for assessing competitors and opportunities.

•Co-work with Sales and Marketing to develop sales opportunities in targeted Vertical Markets and existing Key Accounts. Have a good understanding of Key Accounts organizational structure, business plan and long term strategies in order to provide them with added product value. Gain market share through this relationship.

Qualifications

•Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or similar engineering major.

•Total of 5 years working experience in related industries.

•2-3 years of working experience in product marketing.

•2-3 years of working experience in sales.

•Technical background is preferred.

•Fluency in written and verbal English communication is a must.

•Knowledge of least one local and/or regional language may be required for certain geographic locations.
