Description
The Finance Project Lead oversees the whole finance operations in Europe, together with the Finance Management including general ledger, credit assessment, accounts payable and profit and loss analysis. He/She provides support to Regional Business Unit’s (RBU) General Manager (GM) and business partners on business and financial matters at RBU level. He/She is responsible for implementing group policies and aligning local accounting processes and practices to maintain a high standard of accounting and internal control. Further on he/she is responsible for Legal Liaison as well as Custom Compliance Liaison
Responsibilities
•Profit & loss and balance sheet responsibilities as well as reporting and analysis.
•General Accounting: include statutory reporting, tax filling, site accounting and treasury, support for tax audits and other inquiries and being single point of contact of internal (tax, trade, legal) and external (auditors, bankers, tax authorities, customs) business partners.
•Sales Finance: included financial planning/forecast cycle support, financial models (ROI…etc.) for new program/projects, finance system implementation and enhancement, execution of policies and procedure to sustaining finance controls, and serving as a bridge to ensure the global requirement/directions are met at local office.
•The caliber also drive process improvement, develop and proliferate best known methods/processes, and delivery financial improvements in the form of cost management and business growth. Actively participates and contributes to the reengineering of Information Technology systems and processes that improves the quality of timely data and the operational results.
•The candidate would develop the team to credible partners with management to establish strategic plans and objectives for the organization. And work with RBU leaders to guide and influence strategic decision-making.
Qualifications
•Holding university degree with a focus in business or economics; advanced degree and/or accounting certification (e.g. CPA, CFA, MBA) preferred. Working experience in multinational environment is a must.
•Typically 3-5 years of experience in a finance function.
•Independent, proactive; self-starter with high tolerance of ambiguity, and great communication skills.
•Ability to manage a cross-site organization and engage in organization development planning and execution.
•Demonstrated ability to partner with and influence internal and external stakeholders.
•Competency in project management, analytical skills, business partnering and customer service.
•Good time management skills, strong sense of integrity, a high level of accuracy and attention to details and a logical approach to problem solving.
•Prior experience in tax/accounting/regulatory compliance with finance and business process, controls and compliance desired.
•Must have an appreciation of IFRS and knowledge of local statutory requirements.
•Fluent in German and English (written and spoken).
