Digital Marketing Manager - Work Abroad

The Sales & Marketing team generate revenue for all aspects of the business and aim to maximise our profitability.  

 

The UK Digital Marketing Manager is responsible for the strategy and execution of digital, digital marketing, digital media related ecommerce activity and driving social strategy.

This position will support hotel marketing by developing digital marketing, managing the Digital Agency (Resolution) relationship and managing social platforms. Digital marketing efforts will include: search engine marketing (including PPC and SEO), mobile marketing, display advertising, email marketing and assisting with social media planning and execution. This position will also oversee Ecommerce activity including the management of the hotel’s web site and mini-sites.

 

Some of the key processes include but are not limited to:

 

  • Setting overall digital and social strategy direction to help drive room and other related revenues (i.e. F&B, spa, meetings) for Hyatt within the UK
  • Collaborating with partner agencies to develop annual business plans for the hotels to ensure sound comprehensive strategic recommendations and ensure ROI goals are achieved across digital channels for hyatt.com production
  • Conducting reviews and execute SEO best practices accordingly (both on and off site) to improve hotel visibility within search engines
  • Fostering partnerships with online partners (journalists, bloggers, review sites) for additional online visibility
  • Driving e-mail marketing initiatives in coordination with Content and Communication manager. Responsible for setting up accounts with approved vendors, drive quarterly/annual activity calendar, generating quarterly performance reports and conducting regular database audits
  • Developing e-commerce strategies and best practices for the hotel web site such as content management (using Adobe CQ5 – Hyatt’s proprietary CMS tool) and traffic driving tactics and strategies
  • Meeting with digital and e-commerce industry representatives (i.e. vendors, agencies, media partners such as Google, Baidu if necessary) to gain insight to best practices
  • Developing and build strong working relationships with vendors and agency partners – serve as primary point of contact for all digital marketing/e-commerce vendors and agencies. Frequency of agency contact will be determined based on the scope of work outlined between the agency and Hyatt’s corporate office
  • Working with agencies to ensure strategies adopted for each hotel also work amongst hotels within the local area and no business-related conflicts exist(i.e. bidding on same key accounts).

The ideal candidate will have excellent knowledge of Internet marketing practices acquired through formal education such as a Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Business Management. Or you must have relevant experience working with digital media planning (SEO, PPC, display, mobile and social platforms) relevant to the local market. Experience in working with a Content Management System and creating and developing content and campaign management are essential.

 

Excellent oral and written communication skills at all levels of the organisation are a must as well as experience in working with web analytics tools such as Google Analytics or Omniture.

 

Google Awards certification is desired. This position requires the successful candidate to travel.
