About the Role
An exciting position has arisen for an Outlet Manager to plan, organize and direct all processes of the outlet to ensure a high quality of food and beverage service that is consistent with the SBU's Operating Standards and achieves maximum revenue and profit in line with budgeted and forecasted projections. Conducts market survey for competition ensuring that the restaurant is staying competitive in the market place. Oversee the effective operation of our new Restaurant.
You main duties will include:
- Responsible and accountable for ensuring that all customers are served as per the brand standard. Actively grows the business and looks for new ways to do so.
- Ensuring that the whole outlet including the kitchen work to the highest standard of cleanliness at all times.
- Must ensure that all daily, weekly and monthly paperwork is completed and filed/forwarded correctly.
- Must ensure that all colleagues have attained and retained the correct knowledge to complete the paperwork required for their station.
- Can manage the flow of home delivery orders, manage the drivers (if applicable) and communicate with all functions.
- Can handle decisions required for complaints.
- Expected to sign off and approve any and all orders.
- To ensure that all orders are in line with the budget and stock requirements.
- The OM must ensure that colleagues who are authorized to place orders are following the correct procedures.
- Conduct inventory count, input and reconciliation.
- Sign off on all inventory counts.
- Ensures that all maintenance issues are rectified as soon as possible.
- Takes responsibility for any quotes required.
- Takes full responsibility and accountability for conducting monthly and weekly audits, communicates score, action plans and follows up with the action required.
- Fully supports the Sous Chef or Head Chef with managing the kitchen team and operation.
- Ensures that all colleagues are equipped with the tools and skills to be able to suggestively sell and thus striving to improve revenue and spend per head.
- Communicates regularly with the Operations Manager in regard to colleague development and is continuously developing their team.
- Regular spots talent and utilises key skills and communicates at the family tree meetings.
- Ensures all probationary and appraisals are conducted correctly and in time and all correct paper work submitted.
- Supports and promotes a culture of engagement at all times.
- Respects all colleagues and actively try's to build a team culture.
About You
In order to be considered for the role, you will have gained a diploma or degree in hotel management and have at least 3 years experience as Outlet Manager in a fine dining service Indian restaurant in a high end standalone environment.
It is also essential that you have detailed food and beverage knowledge within a quality luxury brand, has strong administration and management skills, has the ability to motivate, up sell and train colleagues, very hands on and supportive in achieving the common team goals.
You must be well versed in financial aspects and knowledgable in Micros Point of Sale system.
