To support our dynamic and growing business we are hiring a Strategic Business Analyst - DE Monetization (m/f) in the Monetization team in Berlin. This position is based in Dreilinden, Germany.
We are looking for a highly analytical minded person, somebody who thrives on balancing analytical complexity with real-world customer insights. Our goal is to put our customers at the heart of decision-making by harnessing best-in-class analytical methodologies. You will be a key member of the team, and you will work extremely closely with the financial analytics team in providing insights for price promotion strategies, increasing price promotion effectiveness as well as promotion targeting/execution.

Your tasks will include:

• Develop business cases and track performance: Support sizing of opportunities, seller targeting as well as forecasting promotion performance based on historical data. This includes supporting the development of ideas for price promotions.
• Drive price promotion effectiveness: Identify pricing levers that drive commerce through positive promotions for both professional and private sellers.
• Project management: Drive cross-functional and international projects that support new streams monetization.
• Stakeholder management: Manage expectations through effective prioritization and collaboration with stakeholders - key ones being the broader Seller team as well as finance analytics.

Your profile

• Exceptional analytical skills:
  • Strength in gathering & analysing information with the ability to lead detailed analytical problem solving (strong and hands on SQL experience and excellent command over tools like MS Excel is a must)
  • Ideally you should have had active exposure to data warehouses and proven ability to handle huge data sets. Experience with MicroStrategy and/or Tableau would be a plus
  • Understanding of our business with experience of addressing problems in a structured and pragmatic way
  • Attention to detail with a focus on quality
• Ability to manage delivery in a fast-changing, multi-national cross-functional business:
  • Energetic and with a strong bias to action with the ability to cut through complexity to get results
  • Willingness to get your hands dirty in operations and complex analytical tasks
  • Ability to ask the right questions and achieve results across organizational boundaries
• Ability to work alongside individuals and teams to deliver against clearly defined goals
• Good written and verbal communication skills, fluency in English and ideally also German
• Good sense of humour would be a plus, especially during the long Berlin winters!
• Enthusiasm for online commerce
• And finally, you should have professional work experience preferably in Analytics. A background in Pricing, Statistics or Finance would be a plus but is not a necessity.
