We are currently seeking to recruit a (Senior) Corporate Governance Officer to advise on and analyse relevant corporate governance topics in the financing business

Your new area of responsibility:

• Analysing and advising customers in all matters of corporate governance
• Incorporating the topic into our current invest­ment processes in a structured way
• Collaboration with other relevant departments during due diligence of investments and port­folio manage­ment, both in Cologne and in-country
• Developing action plans and complementary technical assistance to improve corporate governance
• Cooperating with other development finance insti­tutions and other relevant actors on the topic of corporate governance

Your profile:

• Preferably a degree in business administration or economics with an international focus and experience abroad in our target countries
• Several years of experience in the area of cor­porate governance with companies in develop­ing and emerging-market countries
• Professional experience in the financial sector (in a bank or investment company) in addi­tion to managing and leading projects
• Experience in shaping necessary change pro­cesses
• A basic understanding of regulatory issues in in­vest­ments
• (Business) fluent English and preferably a good working knowledge of French and/or Spanish
• Proven expertise in consulting tasks, sensitivity in dealing with management and supervisory boards, and excellent negotiating skills under­pinned by above average communication skills
• Ability to persuade and show resilience even in challenging project constellations
