Tasks:
- Approve in-process production by confirming specifications; conduct visual inspection and measurement tests; communicate required adjustments to Transnet Engineering.
- Approve finished products by confirming specifications; conduct visual inspection and measurement tests; return products for re-work if necessary; confirm re-work (incl. documentation).
- In case of non-fulfillment of requirements, issue nonconformance report (NCR) where required.
- Review Q documentation for completeness (Car History Book), correctness and accuracy before release of Q-documents for the locomotive during the processing of orders at Transnet Engineering premises.
- Maintain safe and healthy work environment by latest standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
- Participate in Bombardier end-customer audits at the Transnet Engineering premises.
- Act as a Quality contact person between Transnet Engineering and Bombardier.
Qualifications
- 3-year vocational training as skilled Worker; University of technology diploma (Mechanical Engineering).
- 5 years of work experience, most preferable in the automotive or rail industry.
- Experience in quality assurance and quality control.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.
- Good knowledge of tools and equipment: dimensional testing equipment, electronically testing equipment.
- Experience in supervision / management, decision making capabilities, strong personality.
- Fluency in English.
