Responsibilities:

- Translating business problems into precise and practical financial models;
- Conducting business research by performing quantitative and qualitative analysis;
- Leading or supporting corporate-level strategic and business development initiatives;
- Preparing and presenting oral and written presentations of findings and recommendations;
- Supporting the strategic planning process;
- Leading or supporting strategic communications and external relations initiatives.

Qualifications
As our ideal candidate, you:
- Have an undergraduate degree with a strong concentration in an analytical discipline, such as business administration, economics, finance, engineering, math or physics;
- Have completed or are willing to work towards acquiring the CFA designation;
- Have more than four (4) years of experience, preferably in M&A, finance, or equity research or in a strategy environment within a manufacturing firm or consultancy. Experience in the aerospace or passenger rail industry would be an asset;
- Have the ability to translate complex business problems into financial models and to present these in a coherent manner;
- Master accounting and financial analysis principles;
- Demonstrate creativity towards problem solving;
- Have a strategic mind as well as strong analytical and synthesizing skills;
- Like to challenge preconceived ideas;
- Have a relentless commitment to rigour;
- Are focused on results and performance;
- Demonstrate complete discretion when dealing with highly confidential matters;
