TASKS
The Legal Advisor works in the legal department of aDivision or BU and supports the bid process and projects in execution byassuming responsibility for all legal aspects from the Invitation To Tender(ITT) until the end of the warranty period.
GRP/Corporate & Legal Affairs is the GRPTransportation interface to the Contracts & Legal Affairs department ofDivisions, to the BT Management as well as to other Group and Corporatefunctions for all corporate and legal affairs matters.
A key challenge for the function is to guard theinterests of the Corporation in ever changing markets and legal environments.
Specifically:
- Bid support according to BT policies/directives forthe bids assigned
- Project support according to BT processes for theprojects assigned
- Legal affairs on all legal related matters as assignedwithin the Region
- Attendance to the required Team Regional/Divisionalappointments and tasks
- Reporting activities

Qualifications
- Education: Law Degree
- Languages: Very good English language skills are a must, French or Spanish language skills are an advantage
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in corporate environment
- Background in Railway industry (preferred) or special sector (naval, energy etc.)
- Good contract awareness from legal and commercial point of view
- Experience in claims and litigation
- Exposure to foreign markets, good cultural awareness
- Very good negotiation skills
- Available to travel
