RESPONSIBILITIES
· Support the definition and management of the best material flow strategy
· Define the strategy for planning / sourcing of materials
· Develop and support the consolidation of "demand planning"
· Define and implement actions to reduce the costs of supplying
· Issue the Purchase Requests (RfPs) according to maintenance plan
· To be responsible of the inventory level and provide improvement solutions
· Manage all material transactions within our IT systems
· Ensure the constant material availability and anticipation of stock-out risk
· Monitor and control the progress of all manufacturing operations performed by third parties
· Inventory
· Execute expediting towards the suppliers in order to optimize their level of performance
· Develop and monitor logistic KPIs to improve the level of Service

Qualifications
· Education: Technical Degree (Logistics, Mechanical or Industrial / specialization in Logistics)
· Languages: very good English language skills, other languages are an advantage
· Ideally 1-2 years of relevant experience in heavy industries (Railway preferred, alternatively Aerospace, Naval or Automotive)
· Knowledge of Material Planning and Logistics processes
· Working knowledge of MS Office tools, especially Excel
· Knowledge of SAP is an advantage
· Very good communication skills
· Resilience to work under pressure, attention to detail
· Availability to travel in Italy and abroad
