Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
1. Define, publish and monitor global production plans for a portfolio of products taking into account demand from all sources (i.e.: forecasts, sales orders, supplier managed inventories, clinical requirements, etc), and balancing inventories / manufacturing capacities. This includes API, drug product and finished goods.
2. Work closely with Internal/External Manufacturing organizations and other Technical Operations colleagues to ensure that the production plans are achievable through the use of capacity planning, level loading, materials availability planning, etc.
3. Align production plans with short-term, long-term and strategic needs of Commercial Operations, Technical Operations, and Internal/External Manufacturing organizations. Also, ensure production plans are aligned with financial budget forecasts/commitments and strategies.
4. Work closely with the Global Demand Management team to understand the sales forecasts versus actual sales variations, and adjust supply plans if necessary to maintain inventory and customer service levels.
5. Prioritize product release of finished goods as necessary.
6. Responsible for analyzing on a monthly basis the inventory levels for global finished goods, semi-finished goods and API, to ensure adherence to Global Supply Chain safety stock policies.
7. Gather detailed supply and inventory data in a timely manner to support monthly Sales & Operations Planning meeting.
8. Gather critical information for Business Reviews meetings along with supply and inventory trends analysis for assigned product/markets.
9. Manage and execute supply plans / inventory strategies for new product launches, product line extensions and label/PI changes.
10. Participate on cross-functional meetings as subject matter expert as required.
11. Upon special request, conduct ad-hoc analyses for senior management for high level business decisions.
Qualifications
Skills/Knowledge Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering.
3 to 5 years of planning experience in the Pharmaceutical or Healthcare industry.
Prior experience planning in a multiple manufacturing site and/or contract manufacturing environment.
Prior experience interacting with demand management, quality and regulatory organizations.
Must have strong analytical skills, strong interpersonal and communication skills, be a team player and be willing to work in an environment where individual initiative, accountability to the team, and professional maturity are required.
Must be able to work with limited day-to-day supervision.
Strong PC experience, Microsoft Office Suite experience required including; Excel;Outlook; PowerPoint
Oracle EBS / Advance Supply Chain Planning (or SAP) experience required.
APICS certification is a plus.
