Job Summary:
This internal communications role will be responsible for leading strategic communication planning and tactical support for the Human Resources function, including enterprise-wide people and HR communications. Develops and maintains ongoing communication plans to support the company's enterprise people and culture strategies. Advises the senior vice president of HR and the HR leadership team on communicating significant HR strategic initiatives. Partners with HR and Corporate Affairs leaders to facilitate the efficient planning and execution of communications to support all HR programs and initiatives. Acts as primary editor for all HR communications developed by HR subject matter experts or external resources. Ensures alignment of HR communication strategies, plans and execution with Corporate Affairs global communications strategies, initiatives and standards. Serves as primary facilitator of company’s employee volunteerism initiatives and employee giving.
Key Responsibilities:
Provides complex strategic planning and ensures effective tactical execution for HR communication to Celgene employees.
Develops and executes communication plans to support and enable the company's people and culture strategies.
Advises HR leaders on change-management messaging and communication strategies that support initiatives such as enterprise strategy rollouts, operating model or organization structure changes.
Ensures appropriate measurement techniques are used to assess communication effectiveness and continually improve processes, policies and delivery vehicles as appropriate.
Counsels HR leadership team on strategies for communication within the HR organization.
Ensures HR communication strategies, plans and execution are aligned with Corporate Affairs strategies, including with respect to the company's people and culture strategy and initiatives.
Contributes content related to HR, the company's people strategy and related topics as appropriate for Corporate Affairs Communications vehicles such as the company intranet, employee publications, global employee town hall meetings and more.
Maintains a comprehensive calendar of HR plans, events and initiatives to enable strategic timing of communications.
Maintains and provides content for the HR portal on ourCelgene.
Helps develop communication to support and build awareness of employee volunteerism initiatives and employee giving.
Qualifications
Skills/Knowledge Required:
Years and Type of Experience:
• 5+ years of employee communication experience (corporate environment preferred), including experience developing comprehensive enterprise communication plans and writing about complex topics for various employee audiences.
• Editorial and production experience in print and electronic media preferred
