HAEMOPHILIA CARE DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST - Work in Newbury

Key Responsibilities:

• To develop and implement the regional business plan, identifying key customers and resource allocation to maximise sales and return on investment for promoted brands

• To maintain and develop relationships and partnerships with NHS stakeholders such as Specialist Commissioners, Commercial Medicines Unit and NHS Scotland, to maximise understanding of Tenders and National Framework Agreements and positively influence the commercial environment and access to pipeline assets

• To coordinate scientific and educational support programmes at a local / regional and national level

• To support interactions with Key Opinion Leaders (regional and national) and attend National /International Scientific Congresses 

• To respond appropriately to unsolicited clinical enquiries regarding pipeline brands and ensure managed entry to pipeline haemophilia brands is secured with all stakeholders

• To support the Local Study Group, offering local knowledge and engagement as required

• Manage territory budget

• To work closely with medical and commercial team members to ensure Bayer provides and further develops coordinated haemophilia care, through pipeline brands and support programmes

Key Skills and Experience:

• Life Science Degree / Healthcare qualification

• Successful track record as Account Manager

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• High level of negotiation and selling skills

• Highly motivated with positive attitude

• The ability to work independently and demonstrate pro-activity

• The ability to recognise potential issues and identify relevant solutions which add value and increase potential revenue generation

• Thorough knowledge of the ABPI code of practice and other appropriate guidelines

• The ability to embrace the changing NHS environment and ensure product acceptance at all levels

• High level of planning and organisational skills

• Up to date knowledge of the disease area, customer and competitor environment and NHS budgetary processes
