TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Establish IT capabilities to strengthen Clinical Pharmacometrics, bioinformatics and data science
• Strengthen IT capabilities required for an effective and efficient access to research, pre-clinical and clinical data as well as electronic health data to support cross-functional R&D activities
• Design and create IT environment to ease modelling and simulating of biological processes
• Support Clinical Pharmacometrics department with tailored solutions for mechanistic modelling and its application in the pharmaceutical R&D area
• Work in interdisciplinary teams to provide concepts to leverage knowledge out of data
• Execute business capability analysis and user requirements analysis to derive tailore concepts for IT analytics challenges in R&D
• Consulting regarding the identification, evaluation and implementation of innovative IT solutions for Clinical Pharmacometrics
• Interact with, participate in external scientific cooperation(s) in translational R&D
• Drive holistic data integration for Bayer Healthcare R&D
• Contribute to selected critical IT projects to steer them towards the key objectives, e.g. by steering individual work packages
• Lead project teams with internal and external staff
• Monitor business implications, compliance issues, risks and business satisfaction throughout project lifecycle
REQUIREMENTS:
• Graduate (m/f) in natural sciences, computer sciences, mathematics or equivalent
• Several years of experience in business and IT, preferably in the healthcare environment
• Data- and Knowledge management, especially in data annotation, as well as in use of ontologies or controlled vocabulary
• Strong analytical thinking and conceptual skills to define goal-oriented approaches
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities
• Being self-reliant and capable of both, independent work and as member of a team
• Professional experience in insight generation from data, e.g. text mining and machine learning, cloud computing and HPC
• Proven ability and fun to work in a competitive, fast changing and multicultural environment
• Strong focus on contributing to business values
• Ability to support change in complex organizations
