Local Quality Manager

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Ensure the K N QSHE, Security, and where applicable productivity tracking system are an active tool in the regular activities of the branch. 
  • Inform Branch Management on the efficiency of the QSHE, Security and Operating Systems. 
  • The Quality Manager is allowed to request information from other departments, when this information is relevant and needed for QSHE and Security improvements within the respective activities. 
  • Coordinate and assist internal audits. 
  • Coordinate and assist external audits (K N Vendors, Customers, etc.). 
  • Provide training materials to new and existing managers for their respective departments. 
  • Track TIP's, promote generation, proper analysis and reporting. 
  • Ensure that all complaints are handled efficiently and satisfactorily in accordance with K N standards. 
  • Supply as requested, Quality Status updates to the Regional Quality Manager 
  • Participate in local meetings as required.

Qualifications: 

  • Minimum: High School or Technical degree. 
  • Desirable: College degree in Business Discipline. 
  • Minimum 1 year in a similar position, if newly hired. 
  • Minimum 1 year with K N, if being promoted from within as QM. 
  • General knowledge of K Ns' QSHE procedures. 
  • ISO 9001:2000 Norm (desirable). 
  • Proficient with Kuehne Nagel operating systems including MS Office 
  • Good communications skills, both verbal and written. 
  • Team player. 
  • Analytical.
