PROJECT MANAGER

The project manager role has to combine different aspects of product ownership/product management as well as several aspects of scrum master tasks and typically focusses on project management the integration work within the delivery organization. In some cases the project management will be supportive of other AE Program efforts such as Quality Improvement Projects, Outsourcing improvement and specific company projects that need to be implemented with AE

 

General Accountabilities

  • ​Creates plan and leads/ the planning and delivery for the project being managed
  • Leads the integration development effort as a member of the Scrum team
  • Set up & manage all important scrum meetings (daily stand-up, sprint planning, backlog grooming, sprint demos/sprint reviews)
  • Establish set up specifics for all integration teams (SW/Map/HW/Partner baselines test equipment etc)
  • ​Creates and maintains integration backlog that is visible to all project and program team members
  • Creates project dashboards on regular cadence to monitor project performance
  • Participates in the creation of user stories that are developed by the Program Engineering team
  • Creates detailed tasks and schedules for the Program Engineering team responsible for the dev work
  • Describes and prioritizes work through epics, user stories, tasks and when necessary through risk tickets
  • Participates in all planning decisions for the project team being managed. (Work estimates, risk mitigation, Quality, Release plans etc.)
  • Monitors all external competences on the project and makes changes/recommendations when skill sets of external resources are meeting/not meeting the need
  • Communication to stakeholders & users for early feedback on decisions that impact integration work, in particular daily reviews with the program manager and engineering lead
  • Monitor team velocity & feature delivery, provide program updates and inform stakeholders when trends suggest issues
  • Track & resolve team or development impediments (setup, configuration, blockers)
  • Together with the dev lead and via the program manager be the key Interface to release & testing teams
  • Work with Delivery QA team to ensure process changes are deployed within project teams
  • Report relevant Quality and process related KPI to the Delivery QA team

 

Qualifications

 

  • Undergraduate degree required
  • Project management experience
  • Good understanding of Waterfall and Agile product development management methodologies.
  • Solid Technical aptitude and strong process thinker
  • Knowledgeable of typical product delivery life cycles and methods to optimize best practices
  • Ability to work cross-functionally but also independently
  • Excellent problem solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Exceptional multi-tasking ability
  • Knowledge of ISO is a plus
  • Occasional travel
