National Director of Operations, Management Services

Provide leadership, management, & vision necessary to ensure that the business line has the proper operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures, and people systems in place to effectively grow the organization and ensure financial strength and operating efficiency of the company, and most importantly, establish the necessary processes and controls to ensure deliver of superior service to all clients.
 
Essential Job Duties:

  1. Direct and manage the operational activities within Property Management including Client Accounting, Corporate Accounting & Financial Reporting, Maintenance/Engineering, Project Management & Quality Assurance.
  2. Develops organizational strategies by contributing financial & accounting information, analysis, and recommendations to the President; establish functional objectives in line with organizational objectives.
  3. Establishes finance operational strategies by evaluating trends; establishing critical measurements; determining productivity, quality, and customer service strategies; designing programs and procedures; resolving problems; implementing change.
  4. Monitors financial performance by measuring and analyzing results; initiating corrective actions; minimizing the impact of variances.
  5. Reports financial status by developing forecasts; reporting results; analyzing variances; developing improvements.
  6. Review and evaluate the business line’s operational performance on a continual basis and establish proper measures of performance and variance to plan; counsel direct reports as to execution of programs.Provide direction for modifications of plans or implementation of contingency plans in accordance with prevailing business conditions.
  7. Collaborate with management team to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes, and personnel designed to accommodate the rapid growth objectives of our organization.
  8. Completes performance reviews and evaluations for direct reports.
  9. Updates job knowledge by remaining aware of new regulations; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in industry & professional organizations.

 
Skills, Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a Real Estate related field; Master’s degree preferred
  • Minimum 15 years’ experience in real estate, property management, & corporate operations
  • Previous experience should include senior management experience with a third party management firm, owner or developer of “Class A” property in a major metropolitan area and management business development
  • Strong skills in leadership, financial planning & strategy, managing profitability, strategic planning, promoting process improvement, corporate finance, developing budgets, & corporate operations
  • Computer proficiency skills in the following areas: business management, human relations, financial analysis, budgeting, relationship building, time management, planning and organizing, written and verbal communications
  • Unchallenged integrity, good negotiating and presentation skills, work under pressure, ability to perceive problems and react quickly to effect solutions
  • May perform other duties as assigned
