Our company is seeking a qualified receptionist to join our front desk team!
Receptionists are our company’s first and last representative. All employees in this role must have a strong emphasis on customer service! This job description includes a variety of assignments and duties, however the greatest role is to courteously and efficiently meet and welcome clients and general members of the public, whether in person or on the phone.
The hours for this position will vary based upon the needs of our practice. General flexibility should be Monday through Friday, with shifts ranging between 7:00am – 5:00pm as needed. Also, weekend shifts will vary and consist of daytime OR evening hours.
**Total weekly hours: 20-30**
DUTIES
Greet clients in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner
Answer multi-line phone system, conduct appointment scheduling
Admit clients, including entering and updating client/patient information
Obtain medical and other information from referring veterinarians
Check patients in the hospital according to priority
Schedule and prepare patient files
Communicate efficiently with staff members to organize case flow
Janitorial duties of lobby, reception area and restroom
Fax, file, and distribute faxes and other documents
Obtain deposits and other payments from clients
Check out client, address financial concerns
