Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

To consistently provide thoughtful, caring and sincere service
To supervise and maintain the hotel’s day-to-day IT activity
Ensuring all I.T standards are followed
To comply with the company’s IT Security Policy as it pertains to hardware, software,
To ensure daily backup and restores take place
Ensure compliance with established procedures, systems security, contingency plans
To support and maintain the hotel’s stand alone systems
To troubleshoot network issues as required
To perform routine daily clerical functions regarding integrity of computer systems
To liaise with hardware and software vendors about technology changes
To follow departmental policies and procedures
To follow all safety policies
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Previous IT experience required
Novell Certified Netware Administrator an asset
CompTIA A certification required
Understanding of TCP/IP networks preferred
University/College degree in a related discipline required
Understanding of hotel applications an asset
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
Highly responsible & reliable with exceptional attention to detail
Ability to work cohesively with minimal supervision
Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
