Human Resources Director

The primary purpose of the role is to support the improved profitability and performance of the business through the provision of appropriate human resources support. This role will support the regional HR strategy and design and implement specific initiatives to support the goals of the business in Qatar. A key focus of this role will be influencing and engaging with key stakeholders and working collaboratively with the regional HR teams.

You will be required to;
- Lead the HR function for the country 
- Provide ongoing support to the leadership of the business
- Develop and implement specific human resources programs to enable the profitable and safe growth of the business
- Review, revise and implement best practice human resources policies and procedures
- Identify means of improving service delivery and cost efficiency
- Participate in regional human resources initiatives
- Review and refine leadership development programs in conjunction with the Talent Development team
- Embed key strategic programs such as the nine box within the region
- Provide meaningful reports and recommendations for corrective actions to improve performance of the business
- Play a key role in determining the people strategy for bids and proposals 
- Drive financial performance by achieving plan targets through identifying and implementing operational efficiencies and cost savings
- Review staff utilisation levels across the business line/region and ensure this is optimised through strong levels of collaboration with peers and key stakeholders

Key Performance Indicators of this role will be;
- High levels of engagement with business
- Improved profitability of business
- Active participation in HSE programs within the region
- Delivery of 9 box across region with appropriate distribution
- Positive feedback from leadership team on contribution to business
- Implementation of key initiatives from HR strategic plan
- Development of the capacity and capability of the HR team for the geographical region
- Ensuring new markets are appropriately structured and resources to deliver business outcomes

Requirements

- A minimum of 10 years working experience preferably with experience in Middle East and developing markets
- A Degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business CIPD or equivalent
- Significant experience in a senior leadership role 
- Experience across the engineering and construction value chain
- An uncompromising approach and demonstrable commitment to SHE
- Strong engagement and influencing skills
- The capacity to convert strategic plans into demonstrable action plans
- The ability to identify, develop, mentor and engage with key members of staff
- Proven ability to lead and support change management initiatives
