Job Description:
The Housekeeping Manager provides operational support to the Executive Housekeeper in managing the key areas of the Housekeeping department.
General Responsibilities Include:
- In charge of the daily operations of the housekeeping department.
- Ensure that all the housekeeping department standards of hygiene, cleanliness and service are met on a daily basis.
- Organize the daily flow of public areas, rooms, suites and back of house areas cleaning in order to release the areas for sale on time to comply with the hotel standards.
- Maximize guest satisfaction and minimizing guest complaints and disturbance.
- Replace and represent the Executive Housekeeper in his responsibilities in his absence.
- Effectively train and guide the housekeeping team in all aspects of housekeeping areas.
Skills/Knowledge Required:
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Excellent organizational and coordination skills
- Great inter-personal, communication and customers-service skills
- Good working knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point and MS Publisher
Qualification Standards:
Education:
High School/Hotel Management Diploma
Experience: Minimum of two years experience in a similar role in a large luxury hotel or resort. Experience within the UAE an added advantage.
Grooming: All colleagues must maintain a neat, and well groomed appearance (specific standards will be provided)
