Guest Service Executive

Main Duties 

  • Maintaining and handling of cash float
  • Use Opera cashiering for all transactions
  • Prepare registration cards for the next day's arrivals
  • Arrange ‘Meet & Greet' service with the drivers If ‘Meet & Greet' service is to carried out 
  • Report to the drivers desk with the registration card and welcome pack for the arriving guest
  • Accompany driver from the hotel in the hotel car to the airport (if required)
  • Escort the guest directly to the room/suite after proceeding with the check-in formalities
  • Check arrivals for the day, checking if rooms are ready and ensuring housekeeping is informed
  • Check departures for the day, update departure times
  • Conduct check-in and check-out on the Opera system with accordance to procedure
  • Coordinate room changes and advise Housekeeping / Concierge / Room Service / Switchboard departments accordingly
  • Promptly and accurately file the updated registration cards of arrived guests, once checked by the reception
  • Comply with Guest Services Standard Operating Procedures Responsible for service of the entire continental breakfast, afternoon tea, and happy hour cocktail service in the lounge
  • Ensure tidiness of lounge, kitchen and pantry; maintain fresh stacks in the refrigerator
  • Maintain availability of mise-en-place
  • Check guest room number during happy hour according to in-house report
  • Close the bar set up and secure the food & beverage equipment at the end of the day
  • Assist the Guest Services team in their daily operation whenever required
  • Assist the guest during food service as required and exercise the correct service techniques at all times

About you

Qualifications

Essential:

  • Secondary Education

Desired:

  • Bachelor Degree

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years role as Guest Service Executive or a similar role in a 4 or 5 star hotel of multi-cultural environment

 

Skills

Essential:  

  • Outgoing personality with ability to communicate fluently with guests and colleagues
  • Strong Communication Skills
  • Passion and ability to stimulate ideas and implement them
  • Must be full of enthusiasm
  • Ability to work on week ends

Desired: 

  • Knowledge of Opera (Front Office Applications) Multilingual F&B experience
