Conference & Events Executive

An exciting opportunity to handle all incoming groups and event inquiries and effectively lead the customer through the sales process to the point of a signed contract or offer. Communicate details and specifics of group or event to the Conference and Events services team.

Main Duties:

  • Conducts site inspection effectively and professionally with thorough knowledge of clients' needs and hotel products
  • Answers all incoming group and event inquiries / opportunities
  • Qualifies each business opportunity
  • Determines availability of space and rates according to yield management principles and knowledge of business pace
  • Presents benefits of the hotel to the client
  • Enlarging clients' needs to further improvement revenue yields.
  • Conduct comprehensive and customized site inspections with the event management/conference servicing team
  • Develop and send out concise and accurate contracts
  • Proper hand over of event to event management/conference servicing
  • Ensures deposits are received
  • To meet measurable targets and revenue goals (individual and team)
  • Have excellent product knowledge of function space, audio-visual equipment, capacities, guest room inventory, room rates and menus
  • Be accountable for all targets and goals set for area of responsibility
  • Abide by hotel's grooming standards to project the luxury image of the brand

About You

Qualifications:

  • At least college level or equivalent

Experience:

  • At least 1 year work experience in a Conference and Events Sales Executive or similar role within the hospitality and hotel management segment
  • Experience working in Kuwait or GCC

Skills:

  • Competent in English and Arabic Language
  • Sales driven with proven ability to close sales and achieve results
  • Organized, disciplined, dedicated, loyal and a self starter
  • Assertive but with a diplomatic approach to business
  • Must possess top level business management, interpersonal, and facilitation skills
  • High level commercial & decision making skills
  • Presentation and public speaking attributes will be a must
  • Needs good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows-based computer applications
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
