Job Description
• The Sales Manager is responsible for managing the Groups and Travel Trade for Saudi which includes developing new business, negotiating contracts and maintaining good relations with actual clients in order to meet and exceed the targets set for the relevant areas of the GCC market.
• Maintains good relations and solicits daily room night production of groups and conference business from the existing accounts in order to meet sales targets.
• Plans sales activities by identifying potential customers, organizing sales calls and sales blitz to develop new business.
• Negotiates new contracts and renewals in order to meet sales targets.
• Coordinates with Front Office, Banqueting and Food & Beverage Department all specific guest requirements from the relevant market.
• Prepares a monthly sales activities report on the relevant Market, including companies and tour & travel agents.
• Achieve monthly budget goals and new business targets.
• Set up and maintain good working relationship with all other areas of the hotel’s operations, such as Front Office, Food and Beverage, Accounting, Reservations etc.
• Follow-up with clients before, during and after the function/event/stay to ensure repeat business.
Requirements
• Bachelors or similar degree from an accredited college or university with major work in Tourism/Hotel Management or Education.
• English language is mandatory, Arabic would be an advantage.
• Min 3-5 years’ experience in a 5 star hotel Sales position, preferably in the Middle East market
