As a result of continuous growth and development, we have a unique opportunity for anIT Application Specialist to join our team of professionals.

The successful applicant will report directly to the Director IT, ensuring the smooth operation of all software / Hardware (Windows/Mac)with additional responsibilities including supervising all activities within the IT support team and maintaining and updating all required standards. It is imperative that the successful person has a lot of experience with MAC OS as this role will be specializing in this capacity.

Desired Skills & Experience

Using your strong technical and communication skills, you will communicate and provide support to management on their IT needs as required whilst providing technical support to end users of Windows and Mac to variety of issues. You will Troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues and perform applications and software tests to confirm stability and functionality.

The following duties will also be undertaken in the role;

• Document, tracks and monitors problems to ensure timely resolution
• Maintain, upgrade and/or replace computer hardware and software
• Communicate status, risks and opportunities to Director of IT
• Ensure that hotel data is secured and in line with stated standards and best practices
• Manage the local process for event management, enhancements and application fixes.
• Manage local implementation projects & testing of applications and hardware upgrades.
• Provide consultancy to better expedite access and the better use of information in the property

The successful candidate must also possess the following to be considered;

• Hold an assertive approach to work
• Proactive with the ability to work autonomously
• Ability to liaise with all levels of management
• Ability to problem solve effectively with strong technical skills
• Very experienced with MAC OS
• Demonstrate analytical skills whilst recommending improvements
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple processes
• Strong interpersonal skills
