- Prepare proposal contracts in addition to materializing business within conversion's budget. To communicate effectively with all department within the hotel who will be involved in carrying out the needs of a group/guests. To co ordinate with other departments the needs of a group which will directly affect that department (i.e. amenities, arrival/departure time, deliveries, special meal requirements) To maintain the policies set forth in the group sales contract (i.e. deposits, cut off dates, attrition, rooming lists, billing instructions) To coordinate the sales efforts between events department and catering to ensure proper utilization of function space to yield maximum revenues. To have an excellent knowledge of hotel facilities, capacities and dimensions of meeting rooms. To negotiate with clients and achieve maximum revenue/profit potential, whilst satisfying client needs. The ability to develop creative and attractive menu presentations for potential clients. To conduct tours of the property with meeting planner and potential clients. Follow and develop Standard Operating Procedures, standard set-ups, floor plans and menus. Make suggestions to management for the improvement of operational procedures and improvement of customer satisfaction. Preparation of Booking Event Orders, Group Information Sheets, Event Amendments and other event documentation. To ensure all information in Delphi is accurate including client data, activities and events. Update banqueting forecasts for future groups and actual revenues of history bookings on weekly basis. Ensure that the necessary forms are filled out and signed off and all arrangements have been made before entertaining clients at the resort. To be familiar with Banquet service standards to better sell the facilities of the Hotel. Check function room set ups prior to guest arrival, ensuring all details are in agreement with client's requirements and hotel standards. Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned by management.
About You
In order to be considered for this role, you will have degree in Business Administration and/or Hospitality Management; Fluent in English and preferably additional foreign languages; Minimum of five years experience in international luxury hospitality sector, preferably exposed to MENA region.
You also should have a good team leadership, be able to coach, development, recruitment and alignment within Sales, Marketing and Revenue teams. Strategic Commercial planning and execution. Focused, energetic and flexible leader with vision.
